Heat pump portal > Heat pumps in detail >
This refers to the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet temperature of a heat pump medium.
The thermostat valve is responsible for adjusting the heat given off by radiators to meet the heating needs of the given room by correspondingly curbing the heating water flow rate.
Discrepancies in the desired room temperature can be due to the additional heat caused by external sources such as lighting or radiation from the sun. If, due to solar radiation, the room temperature surpasses the desired level, the heating water volume flow rate will be automatically reduced via the valve.
Conversely, the valve opens automatically if, for example, the temperature is lower than desired after ventilating the room. This enables more heating water to flow through the radiator so that the room temperature can again reach the desired level.
