Is solar technology a useful supplement?
Supplementing heating with solar technology is not an advisable solution. Heat pumps are much more efficient and cut down on more carbon dioxide than a solar energy system. However, there are components that enable the use of existing solar energy systems in combination with a heat pump for DHW preparation.
