What has to be changed in your heating installation?

Your heating system has to be adjusted to the selected heat pump.

In many cases, only a few changes need to be made to your heating system (e.g. replacing the heat circulating pump). You can often continue using the existing radiators.

Converting to a low-temperature heating system is possible if the existing radiators are over-dimensioned (large heating surfaces) and the heat consumption of the building is reduced by making changes to your building structure (e.g. new windows).

Often replacement of a few radiators (e.g. in the living room or bathroom) is then sufficient to enable the use of a low-temperature heat pump.

An additional alternative is offered by fan convectors. They don’t require any more space than a conventional radiator and operate with significantly lower flow temperatures. When the flow temperature is reduced by one degree Celsius, 2.5% of heating costs are saved on heat pump operation.
