What needs to be observed when upgrading a heating system?

Before deciding in favour of a heat pump, your existing heating system should be inspected and the maximum heat flow temperature actually required should be determined.

If the actually required maximum heat flow temperature is unknown, it can be approximated using the following procedure:

During the heating period the flow and return flow temperatures are continually reduced with the thermostat valves completely open until a room temperature of approx. 20 - 22 °C has been reached. Once the desired room temperature has been reached, both the actual flow and return flow temperatures as well as the external temperature are recorded. The actually required maximum heat flow temperature can be determined on the basis of this value.
